Tazo Organic Chai Spiced Black Tea

Tazo Organic Chai Spiced Black Tea is the Best of all the chai teas I've tried. A hot summer afternoon, a Bollywood number belting out of a rusty boombox and a cup of Tazo Organic Chai. Its the perfect recipe to transport you to the streets of Bombay. Its bold and spicy and yet has that distinctive black tea kick. The ginger, cardamom and cloves remind me of the traditional Indian chaiwallah flavor. For those who aren't accustomed to spiced teas, I recommend adding equal parts of milk and two small helpings of your favorite sweetener.

Tazo Earl Grey Black Tea, 20 Bags

Tazo's Earl Grey Black Tea is very perfumy. Tazo shows considerable expertise in the blending of this top quality tea. These sumptuous black teas provide the perfect complement to the strong bergamot essence in this blend.

The fragrance of Tazo Earl Grey is powerfully floral, in particular lavender, citrus, and the woodsy-malt scent of premium black tea.
The flavor of this splendid potion is rich and perfumed. The addition of cream creates a lush sensual brew. A topnotch tea blend!

Earl Grey is considered to be the second most popular tea in the world. Traditionally Tazo Earl Grey Black Tea is created from a blend of black teas, usually Chinese and Indian teas, sometimes with a smoky flavor, and scented with the citrus fruit bergamot. Earl Grey tea has an interesting history. Legend has it that the first tea scented with bergamot oil was presented to Lord Grey from a Chinese mandarin whose son was saved from drowning by one of Lord Grey's men. Twinings and Jacksons of Piccadilly both claim to be the first to have commercially blended this tea.

Tazo Wild Sweet Orange Herbal Infusion Tea

Tazo Wild Sweet Orange Herbal Infusion Tea has a wonderful orange aroma and the flavor is very good, without the the slightly bitter notes found in most orange flavored teas. Also, for a caffeine free herbal tea, this one has a very good base flavor and brews quickly. I don't like many herbals because they take too long to brew and/or taste watered down. This makes a nice hot or cold drink and is a great picker upper for those trying to cut out caffeine.
Tazo's Wild Sweet Orange Herbal Infusion Tea is a nice orange herbal tea. It contains lemongrass, blackberry leaves, citric acid, rose hips, spearmint leaves, natural flavors, orange peel, safflowers, hibiscus flowers, rose petals, natural orange essence, ginger root and licorice root. It is not sweet, very fruity, and not subtle at all, a wonderful tea if you enjoy orange-y teas.

Tazo China Green Tips Green Tea

This Tazo green tea tastes like the expensive green tea my father bought as a present for his professor grown in asia. It has that nice subtle gentle flavor underneath the usual green tea flavor which I really love. It's not too harsh (for me anyhow) and I don't like it when people mix green tea with lemon... so this tea is good for me to just enjoy the tea leaf flavor without breaking my bank!
It's a slightly stronger green tea than Tazo's Zen, and I liked that it doesn't contain Tazo's omnipresent "natural flavors" that almost all of their other teas contain, which to me is not an advantage. I like a natural, real taste with real ingredients sans vague "natural flavors" and sans flavorings, sans essences, etc. China Green Tips delivers this in a cleaner, purer way than Tazo's other teas. I liked this green tea!

Tazo Passion Herbal Infusion Tea No Caffeine, 20 Bags

Tazo Passion Herbal Infusion Tea is a splendid alternative to regular black tea or sugary drinks; its spice keeps things interesting enough that you don't need sugar, although on a hot day, nothing beats a tall iced glass of Passion with a touch of simple syrup. It's tasty, with hints of berry, and caffeine free! Also, it works really well for sun tea.

One day I went to a fancy spa with my mom. She raved about the excellent herbal iced tea they had in the serenity room. I agreed with her, and found the taste very familiar. Sure enough, I saw them brewing it using the Tazo Passion. So when I want to do an at home pampering day, I'll pop one of these in to brew and voila! Instant relaxation.

Tazo Awake Black Tea 20 Bags

I have been drinking this Tazo awake black tea for months now. I love flavors and have found that they make a wonderful iced tea. I have found that if you cold brew this tea and the Tazo awake black tea, they do have the flavor undertones that the box states. It almost seems to have a "solidness" to the flavor that seems to fit the breakfast concept well. I definitely recommend it if you like a nice smooth flavor to your black tea.

Just as a side for those who are interested. Cold brewing just means that you place the tea bags in the fridge in water and let it set, usually at least 3 hours. It's that simple! It maintains the full subtle flavor of the tea much better and is almost impossible to turn bitter or mess it up unless you use too many tea bags. This only works if you plan to have iced tea of course. I use 4 Awake tea bags in 2 quarts of water and let it set overnight. I don't remove the tea bags until I have drank all the tea. It's delicious and super easy. I would recommend trying it to anyone who likes iced tea!

Tazo Zen Green Tea with Lemongrass & Speamint 20 Bags

Tazo Zen green tea with lemongrass  & Speamint is an absolutely wonderful tea. The lemongrass moderates the slight bitterness that is common in plain green tea. I've experimented with adding a twist of lemongrass to a plain organic green tea, and the flavor is similar. The lemongrass complements the green tea flavor, deletes any hint of bitterness, and contributes a very faint lemon scent and flavor that can't be duplicated with ordinary lemon. I drink other green teas, but Zen is my favorite!

Tazo Assorted Tea Sampler 24 Bags

Tazo Assorted Tea is one of my favorite producers of assorted products, and their teas do not disappoint in this regard. First of all, their bags are filled with real tea leaves, not plastic or fiberglass, which is a nice change in this day and age. Secondly, their selections are incredible. Also the medicinal teas are really great and work wonders on your immune system. As the Book of Tea states, Tea is the backbone of a society which is constantly trying to steep itself, and Tazo can relate with ardent coordination. Tazo Assorted Tea Sampler are my favorite teas in order of my favoriteness.

What is the Caffeine content in a cup of tea?

The 2002 edition of the USDA's Nutritive Value of Foods, brewed tea has just about 36 mgs of caffeine per 6-fluid-ounce cup. Though testing shows that caffeine amounts quantities vary depending on many factors, including growing and harvest circumstances.

This is how to shorten the caffeine in your own tea...
1. simply pour boiling water over tea
2. steep for 45 seconds
3. pour off the water and brew a second times

And because of our filterbags are filled with high quality tea, you will only sacrifice not much amount of flavor, while removing most of the caffeine.

What is the difference between Black Teas, Green Teas and Herbal Teas?

Black Teas, Green Teas and Herbal Teas

Black Teas

Black Tea is the fully dried, fermented leaf of the plant Camellia sinensis. When brewed, black teas range in color from golden to red amber, and possess flavors that run from full, rich and robust to light and delicate, depending upon origin and the time of year the tea is manufactured.

Green Teas

Green Tea is made from the same plant as black tea, but the leaves are steamed or pan-fired to halt fermentation, and then dried. Green Tea has a lighter, milder, somewhat more astringent taste than black tea, and a light green, somewhat golden color.

Herbal Teas

Herbal Tea is made from leaves, flowers, spices and other intriguing herbal ingredients. Generally herbal tea contain none of the leaf Camellia sinensis. Widely known for their soothing qualities, they are generally caffeine free.

Tazo Tea. What is Tazo?

What is Tazo?

What is Tazo Tea?To most people, Tazo is austerely a wonderfully delicious infusion that begins when the world's finest teas are blended with extraordinary imagination. Modern tea scholars believe the creative Tazo formulas can still be seen on the Tazo Stone, which was naked when a cave on the shores of the Red Sea was bare by an abnormally low deluge next a stellar hide and earthquake in 1987. You may be contented to not think about it at all, but instead plainly have the affluent, invigorating, contemplative, satisfying experience that is Tazo.

Tazo History

Tazo was founded in 1994 when Steve Smith, a veteran of more than 30 years in the field tea business, set out to breathe new life into the revered tea class. Believeing that the critical thought of tea seized little charm for most Americans, he drew leading historical recipes and traditions, creative inspiration and his own vast wisdom of teas and herbs to mixture an exotic array of imaginative flavors. The respite is tea record. To date, Tazo has twisted more than 80 single tea, fruit and thyme concoctions that redefine tea as a drink for our time.

Tazo Tea is one of my favorites with its great tasting, Tazo Tea is the brand of tea served in Starbucks and I think it's actually quite good.
